One of Fiberglass Freaks' Batmobiles was in Kokomo for an appearance at Indiana Wesleyen University this evening. There will probably be a photo in the Kokomo Tribune in the next day or two. ;)

What an absolute blast today! When I heard that injured soldier Dan Gronde was coming home from Afghanistan, I wanted to help his father Bill plan a big thank you party for him. With lots of help from my office manager and various groups from both Indianapolis and Logansport, about 30 of us surprised Dan at an Indianapolis Chili's:
A certain black and red car was on hand to give Dan a further surprise (he said a bulletproof Batmobile would be great in Afghanistan!):
He enjoyed every second of his ride in the Batmobile, escorted by the police to the American Legion! With lights and sirens blaring, Dan I were running red lights, blowing through stop signs, and musing that gapers might be wondering what emergency was so big that it required not only the police, but Batman, LOL!
But that was just the beginning. At the American Legion, 85 people were on hand to receive Dan:
Dan's parents Bill and Joyce had a blast as well:
Dan's story was featured on the 10PM Fox 59 Newscast on 9-30-11.
But the best part of all, was seeing Dan behind the wheel of our beloved car:
Thanks for your service, Dan. You are truly a hero. May God bless you in your recovery.
